Susan is a Moderator on the Message Boards at FamilyDogInc.com which is the website of Brian Kilcommons & Sarah Wilson. Both are leading authors in the field of dog training and much sought out trainers for family companions for obedience and problem solving. Susan continues to travel to Upstate New York to attend workshops and training with Sarah in various areas of dog training and solving behavior problems.
Along with training owners and their dogs in obedience, Susan has trained Hearing Dogs to alert their Deaf owners to sounds such as the telephone, doorbell, and alarm clock. She has worked as an Educational Interpreter for the Deaf for 17 years with the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation in Southern Indiana.
Past training clients have come mostly from the Princeton and Gibson County area. Clients have also come from surrounding communities such as Evansville, Vincennes, Terre Haute, and Newburgh in Indiana and Mt. Carmel in Illinois. She also works with rescue groups such as Gibson County Animal Services, Schipperke Rescue, and has fostered and trained a dog for PAAWS rescue group.
Some activities Susan enjoys with her dogs include Conformation Showing, Obedience Trials, Tracking, Agility Training, and demonstrations of Obedience, Agility, or Service Dog work.
Susan currently has 5 Schipperkes : Champion Valkyra Alpha And Omega, RN CGC TT "Alphie" (age 13), Pawfect Answer's Tiny Tim CD "Timmy" (age 11), Allahu Pahs To Consider TT "Ciera" (age 6), Champion Allahu Take Em By Surprise TT "Boo" (age 5), and Halogard Doxolgy Serenade, RN "Wilson" (age 2); and a 1 y/o German Shepherd Dog named Sophie.
